Well, to say I am surprised at life on the outside would be an understatement! This world is a little scary...but mostly my parents freak me out a bit! Don't get me wrong, I can totally tell the love me..they kiss my cheeks all the time and talk in this weird voice, that I never heard them talk in while I was in the womb...it must be 'baby talk'...anyway they sound ridiculous but it makes me laugh!
Where to begin...so much has happened! My mom is a little unstable...first she cried because she didn't think I was eating enough so I ate more, then she cried because I was eating too much and she was starting to hurt...then she cried because she thought I was sleeping too much so I slept a little less...then she cried because she didn't think I was getting enough sleep...so I gave up...I'm just doing my thing...it seems to be working she hasn't cried in over a week! Yea mommy!
Daddy is pretty cool, he is always trying to get mom to stop worrying so much. He laughs at her a lot and it makes her laugh when she realizes she is being a little dramatic! Mommy told me daddy has the best chest to sleep on and the best arms to be wrapped in, boy she is not lying! I can't help but fall asleep when he is around!
So lets get to the good stuff. I have taught my parents a few lessons since entering the world!
1. Babies are unpredictable...when you think you have them figured out they will flip the script. Mom thought she could get me to sleep well at night if she kept me up later...ha ha fooled you! Put me to bed early or keep me up late, when I'm hungry I want to eat...my hunger is not effected by how long you keep me up!
2. Some days babies sleep little and eat a lot and other days they sleep a lot and eat little...but it is okay, we will let you know when something is wrong...until then, just get some rest and for Pete's sake STOP CRYING MOM, I'M FINE!
3. ALWAYS pack extra clothes in the diaper bag...I figured my mom knew this so I tested her while having lunch with friends...well she wasn't prepared...darn the luck for me because I had to ride home in a stinky shirt and pants...but I shared the wealth with mom...she got to ride home with some on her too :)
4. ALWAYS check the diaper bag for diapers before leaving....and wipes too!
These poor souls will learn one way or the other...only a few times have they had to learn the hard way. For the most part they are alright! We are finally getting into a routine.
Oh one last story...for the first 4 days I was a real lady around daddy...I never burped or passed gas...I waited until he left and did the dirty around mommy. Mommy would tell him what I did..but he never believed 'his pie' would do such a thing...finally on day 5 I felt he was warmed up enough....I gave him the biggest scare of his life!!! He jumped when he heard what I could do then he said, "ROSELYN....THAT IS NOT NICE!!!" Mom laughed hysterically!!! Good times! Okay all, I am beat...I have to wake mommy up in 2 hours so I need some rest!
Catch you on the flip side!
