My mommy keeps telling me about how big I'm getting. She is always telling me her favorite things about me...I like that! She keeps changing her favorite things though...I guess it is because I am so awesome and everyday I do something fun or funny! I will give you examples.
When I was first born, mommy loved my gummy smiles I would give while I was sleeping. Then she loved milky smiles I would give while eating. Now she is in love with other things! Like today, she told me how much she loves when I act like her or daddy. They think it is cute when I do push ups like daddy or when I brush mommy's hair with her brush (well I try to brush it..I'm working on my motor skills, so it's actually more like beating mommy upside the head with her brush, but she gets the concept!). Mommy and daddy also love how every time I wake up I have to wave and say 'hi' to the birdies in my room (the owl decals on my wall). Mommy's newest favorite thing I do is blowing on my food! One time I saw mommy do it, so now I do it too! Oh she also loves how I can point out body parts like 'eyes', 'nose' and 'mouth'. She tells me I'm one smart cookie!
As you can see, I may not always obey, but I will always imitate what I see. This is a constant reminder for my parents to always be godly, even when they don't feel like it....because someone may be watching...and that someone may just be me!
Hope you all have a beautiful weekend, I will be having my first birthday party ever! I heard talk of there being a glow in the dark bath!!! I love baths! Love you all!

Preparing for my big day
As you all know, my birthday is fast approaching. I hope you have all been contemplating the perfect gift for me! Mommy and daddy say I don't need anymore toys...I bet their mommy and daddy never said that to them when they were my age! Mommy says why waste money on toys when all I want to do is play with her kitchen toys! That is just craziness!
Mommy and I have been planning my big day. I can't believe I will be 1 already! I know I grew fast. Mommy and daddy were not expecting me to be sitting and rolling over at 4 months, pulling myself up at months and cruising furniture by 5 1/2-6 months....and the definitely didn't think I'd be walking by 9 months; although they should have seen that coming when I was crawling stairs at 5 months. I have been learning sign language and big girl words. I am one "smart cookie" mom says. She is always telling me to kiss my brain, silly mommy!
So for my birthday I chose owls as my theme, just like my room! Mommy was all about owls before they became popular...now she is sad that everyone else jumped on her bandwagon! Anyway, mommy was challenged by a friend to keep my entire party under $30....food and all! Oh and it has to be "pinterest worthy". She has made pretty decorations. I can't wait to show you all pictures!
Mommy has a lovely surprise to post to facebook on the day of my birthday VALENTINES DAY....but she said it is a secret and I can't see it until then! Well I am off to take a nap! Peace and Love!

Holiday Fun
As you all know, this year was my first holiday experience! It was not at all what my parents expected, to say the least!
What they expected:
1. For me not to be interested in the food...and only want mommy's milk.
2. They expected I would tear down the tree at every chance.
3. They thought I would eat the wrapping paper and play with the boxes
4. They thought I'd cry when I got my picture taken with Santa
Au contraire, I was very well behaved, and acted far above my age. I didn't allow myself to be entrapped by the beauty of the lights, or snarled in by the glistening ornaments; instead I played with the nativity scene! It was interesting....it didn't taste very good...it was pretty heavy; and it hurt really badly when I dropped it on my foot.
On another note... the food....THE FOOD!!! Did mommy really think I would make it until my first birthday to eat solid food? When I saw daddy drooling all over his plate, I knew I wanted to try something yummy! So mommy gave me some veggies...YUMMMY. Well, I like them now because I don't get much else, but I am willing to bet once I get the good stuff, I will be like every other normal kid and hate my veggies! After all, once you watch Veggie Tales, you can never look at a veggie the same right? That's what they said in Baby School...mommy hasn't let me watch TV yet, so I don't know yet.
Ha, they thought I would eat the paper? Really? Don't they know that causes constipation? Then again...I guess it has been a LONG time since they were at paper eating age. That was so last week for me. Any whooo...I opened my own gifts, until I got bored...and I didn't just stop at the paper, I tried getting in the boxes. I got some great gifts thanks to my grandparents...my parents gifts were weak, they said I wasn't old enough to really need anything so I got pajamas, boots, 2 books, and a sippy cup.
As for the last expectation my parents had: crying on Santa's lap...Clearly my parents were not listening to the radio on the way to the mall..they played that song, "you better not POUT....you better not CRY..." Shoot, I wanted my toys, I couldn't cry! He was quiet large. I was fascinated by his fancy outfit!
Basically, I had a great time. I saw many of my aunts and uncles, but not all of them and some cousins and my grandparents. And lets not forget, I saw Santa! That is a pretty great Christmas/Thanksgiving season if you ask me. I hope you all had a great one too! I never made it to new years...I just woke up and well, it was a new year. I guess I will have to wait a few more years to experience that one!
Peace and Love to you all!

I'm a BILLYGOAT!
So I realized I have left you all out to dry over here! I didn't realize it has been 4 months since my last post! Well, since then I have been giving mommy and daddy a run for their money! I have been crawling and walking furniture for about 3 months now. This past weekend I started climbing the gate, I figured out how to climb on the coffee table, the couch and any box or ottoman I can find! I just want to conquer my father's feat of climbing onto the top of the fridge! Yes that is a true story, my daddy was the first billy goat and YES he did climb onto the top of my grandma and grandpa's fridge!!!
Mommy calls me her billy goat now..she used to call daddy a billy goat after practice! She would say daddy stinks like a billy goat! Now she calls me billy goat...because not only can I stink just like one, I climb like one too! Some might take offense to that name, I AM OWNING IT!
Speaking of owning, I hope you are all owning your right to vote today! My mommy and daddy took me for my first voting experience on Sunday! We waited in line for an hour and 20 mins! It was very cold but I was VERY bundled....I even squealed, "I CAN'T PUT MY ARMS DOWN!". It was a great experience. I slept while we waited in line, but I woke right up to try voting myself! I snuck into the booth with mommy and I tried voting by stealing her pen and marking her paper. I think a snuck in a vote or two on the ballot without her noticing!
Sorry it took so long to post! I will try and be better about it!
Sending love!

5 months
Wow, I feel like I just got back from Israel, I was 10 weeks...now I am 5 months old! Time is really flying!!! I am settled in and showing my true colors. Now that mom and dad are stuck with me, and can't leave me in Israel I decided I should show them who I am!
*I am high maintenance, I require A LOT of attention....I love being held, they just thought that was a phase because I was so small in Israel...but it's not, I just have high need for attention
*I love playing with my toys, but they are more fun when people are around...I don't like them if I don't have people around me
*I am not a good sleeper, mom thinks she is training me to be a better sleeper (she has been reading 33938 books) but I'm just letting her think that...I can't miss the party so I don't sleep!
*I love my daddy....LOVE LOVE LOVE him! I can be crying up a storm...if he walks in the room...I am all smiles! I know I have to win his heart now, for later when I'm a teen :)
My mom always tells me, "God gives everyone a piece of work in their life to keep them on their knees and in prayer, and that I am her piece of work". I guess I am....I am always trying to get into things I shouldn't be in....I can have 94 toys in front of me, but I will always find the 1 thing I shouldn't have.
On another note, I am really spoiled, it is great being the first grandchild on my dad's side! Every time I go to grandma and grandpa's there is something new waiting for me!
Well I have to get back to keeping mom and dad busy!!!

Back from my Hiatus!
Okay, sorry, I know you have all missed me and wondered what happened to me....I'll tell ya: summer break! It is hard being this cute and avoiding the fame...that is what has kept me from writing! I have had many appearances to make! Now that I am home for a bit, I can fill you in on life as we know it!
First, I am now 4 months old! Can you believe it? I am huge, at 26 1/4 inches and 13.68lbs. My new hobbies include, sticking everything in my mouth, playing with my feet, laughing and smiling all day, making lots of noise and being cute (per the usual). Sleeping is no longer one of my hobbies....in fact I love being awake, so no one in our house sleeps anymore...well accept for daddy. I just feel like there is too much to miss! Because of this, I gained the nic-name "Nosy Rosie"....I guess it is true, I have to know about everything going on around me! I call it being inquisitive, they call it nosy...whatever!!!
Now that I am home I have more clothes than I know what to do with...mommy just packed away stuff I never got to wear! My cousins (all girls) contributed like 5 closets of clothes to me...I am in heaven! Daddy keeps callin me "fat rat" and says, "you made out like a fat rat!"....he is right! I did! I love all my toys too! I am going to be sad when I have to leave them :(.
Oh I got my summer swim wear...FABULOUS! I'll post a picture later! I make SI models look like amateurs!!! Well, I need some beauty rest (since I hardly sleep) so I'm going to take a short snooze, I'll catch up with you all later, just letting you know I am "A-OK!" xo RSG

Mirror Mirror On the Wall
So my mommy and daddy love putting me in the mirror and talking to me. I see them all the time in the mirror...but today, I got a new toy and it has a mirror on it....It is a small mirror. I looked into thinking I would see mommy or daddy....that wasn't the case, I saw this beautiful little baby! I just kept smiling at her, and she was smiling back at me...I would talk to her, she talked back. I mean really she is the most beautiful baby I ever saw. I looked for her after my nap and I couldn't find her...I only see her in the mirror! I wonder who this fair lady is! I want to be friends with her! She smiles and talks all the time! Mommy tries telling me that baby I am looking at is me, but I don't believe her, I'm not in the mirror, I'M RIGHT HERE SILLY!!! Anyway, I love my mirrors, and my friend in my mirror! When I see her I get most excited and I can't stop smiling and talking, we have SOOOOO much in common!
